What we do. We shoot and sell royalty free stock footage as downloadable digital video clips. All of our clips are produced for stock and they are for sale (license), on this web site. (Please see the legal page for Terms and Conditions)

Where we're going.  Rocketclip's mission is to create high quality, digital video clips and make it available on a simple, easy to use web site. Our footage will always be affordable and downloadable.  With the expansion of the internet, we realize that the future of stock, is in images that move. As internet connections become faster the ability to utilize and deliver video files over the internet will be commonplace. It is with this vision in mind that Rocketclips was created.  What you see today is only the beginning. We will add footage often. We plan to have thousands of clips available soon.

About the Clips.  All of the talent have signed releases. The clips were shot on a Canon XL1 mini DV camera. The NTSC Video file was created by capturing in Final Cut Pro sweetening and exporting as DV NTSC. This is the file that is downloadable as 720 x 480 NTSC 29.97fps.The Multimedia file was created by capturing in Final Cut Pro, sweetening and exporting 320 X 240 30fps, using a variety of codecs to achieve a smaller yet high quality clip. The small viewable clips "quick view" are 160 x 120 7.5fps, limited to 100k total file size and are intended for those with slower connections, to view the action only. The larger viewable clips "quality view" (this is a relative term) are 320 x 240 30fps and limited to 1 or 2 megabytes total file size.
