Avid® and Media 100® users

All Rocketclips® have all been digitally recorded Using the DV format.

The clip specifications are:
Format: QuickTime® - .mov file
Size: 720x480 pixels
Codec: DV (5:1 compression)
Frame rate: 29.97 frames-per-second (NTSC)
Interlacing: Lower (even) field dominant (NTSC)

Sometimes Avid users will need to uncompress our footage before importing. Try using QuickTime Pro, available from Apple, and export with "none" or "animation" as the compressor. We have heard that terrific results can be had by using QuickTime Pro and exporting the clip, as an image sequence, then importing that sequence into Avid. If you need to change the field dominance from lower to upper, this can be done in AfterEffects.
